Exercises

Real-time emergencies are not the time to establish relationships with other agencies. Our exercises provide a realistic learning environment for participants to build relationships and enhance skill sets. Conducting exercises in a no-fault learning environment helps familiarize personnel with roles and responsibilities; assess capabilities needed to prevent, respond, and recover from disasters; validate plans, policies, and procedures; and identify areas for improvement.

Customizing Your Emergency Exercise Program

Our master exercise practitioners and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) specialists develop exercises for the entire emergency management community. We tackle individual exercises in five overarching phases: foundation, design and development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning.

We have conducted hundreds of tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises for scenarios ranging from hurricanes to active shooters to pandemic flu. While we employ the HSEEP methodology, our customized exercises push the limits of our client’s capabilities and evaluate their emergency response plans. We recognize that there are no “pre-scripted” answers to exercises.
