In addition to design criteria, familiarity with existing conditions and building system limitations is a necessity. Each building tenant is usually comprised of multiple user groups with a wide variety of priorities and expectations. We work closely with the tenant’s management team to address and balance the needs of each group.
One of the biggest challenges of renovation projects is meeting historic preservation requirements. This includes incorporating new and/or upgraded MEP systems into a historic building without compromising the building’s character.
Knowledge of the Base Building Systems—We Do Not Assume
During each project, we become familiar with existing conditions and base building systems by verifying location, size, availability, and capacity. We review the impact our design has on the base building systems to make sure it works properly and does not adversely affect other systems or areas outside of the lease space. By fully integrating our MEP systems, we deliver outstanding results to the tenant.
