Dewberry | Bowyer-Singleton was selected by Orange County in Florida to provide final engineering services for the design of a single-point interchange at the John Young Parkway and Sand Lake Road intersection.

The project includes the design of a major bridge structure to elevate John Young Parkway over Sand Lake Road so that traffic can flow unimpeded. Ramps will be provided to maintain access to Sand Lake Road.
Dewberry | Bowyer-Singleton previously provided preliminary engineering studies and a project development summary report (PDSR) for this 2.25-mile segment of John Young Parkway and Sand Lake Road. The PDSR determined that nearly 165,000 vehicles travel through this intersection daily, marking a steady increase in traffic volume over the years due to development in the area.
The project's main goals are to improve traffic operations, increase capacity, minimize delays, reduce congestion, address safety concerns, and enhance pedestrian and bicycle movements.
