Dewberry, a national consulting firm based in Fairfax, Virginia, has announced the promotions of senior staff:

C. Peter Okafor, PE, has been promoted to associate vice president and manager of Dewberry's Gaithersburg, Maryland, office. Okafor has more than 20 years' experience in the design, construction, and management of site/civil services for a wide variety of land development projects. Okafor has a master's in engineering management from the University of Kansas, and is a member of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association and the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties.

Alejandro Villegas has been promoted to associate vice president and manager of Dewberry's Lanham, Maryland, office. With extensive knowledge of zoning regulations, county code, and plan processing within Prince George's County, Villegas has been responsible for zoning document preparation and preliminary design for a variety of mixed-use and residential developments around the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area. Villegas has a master's degree in management from the University of Maryland.
