Dewberry announced that it has been awarded contracts by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to provide numerous transportation engineering services for District 5-0 and District 9-0.
The firm's services for District 5-0 will include roadway rehabilitation and traffic improvements for State Route (SR) 61 from I-78 to the Schuylkill County line in Tilden Township. This restoration project also includes rehabilitation of the bridge over Bartram Trail.
In District 9-0, the firm will be providing preliminary engineering, environmental studies, and final design services for the replacement of four bridges on PA 96. These bridges are located in Bedford County and include those over Gravel Pit/Tar Water Creek, Sulphur Springs Creek, Little Wills Creek Tributary, and North Bard Tributary Culvert.
The two projects have a combined project cost of approximately $11.5 million.
