Dewberry has been selected to provide design, scoping, engineering inspection, constructability and operability review, and value and other incidental engineering services on an as-needed basis for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Bridges and Tunnels.

Services will cover a broad range of engineering disciplines, including structural, civil, traffic, environmental, landscape, surveying, electrical, and mechanical, as well as additional architecture-related services. Work will be performed on bridge and tunnel facilities, equipment, buildings, and ancillary structures.

The six-year contract, with an aggregate capacity of $60 million, will support MTA Bridges and Tunnels, which is responsible for operating and maintaining seven bridges, two tunnel facilities, and associated buildings and toll plazas in New York City. Services will be provided throughout the five counties of New York City: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens, and Richmond (Staten Island).

This is the second consecutive contract through which Dewberry is providing as-needed engineering services to MTA Bridges and Tunnels. To date, under the 2013 to 2019 contract, the firm was awarded six task orders totaling more than $3 million.
