Dewberry,
a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Joseph
Masiello, PE, CEM, LEED AP, has joined the firm as an associate vice president
in the New York City office.
Masiello brings more than 30 years of experience to
the firm and will lead the NYC mechanical engineering and fire protection
group. His background includes extensive experience with the design of
cogeneration systems, central utility plants, and heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC) industrial facilities. Masiello has worked on numerous
projects throughout his career, including a 15 megawatt cogeneration system for
the University of Calgary and a 150,000-square-foot pharmaceutical aseptic
manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina.

marketplace,” says Masiello.
Masiello earned a bachelor’s in mechanical
engineering from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook (1987)
and an associate’s in HVAC technology from SUNY at Farmingdale (1982). He is a
professional engineer in New York. Masiello has published articles in Consulting-Specifying Engineer, ISPE Pharmaceutical Engineering
magazine, and Lab Manager “How it Works.”
He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and
Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the International Society for
Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE).
