Dewberry has announced the promotion of nearly 60 employees nationwide, including Rahul
Parab, PE, D.WRE, CFM, of the firm’s New York City office. The promotion
coincides with Dewberry’s ongoing expansion of engineering and consulting
services in the Northeast region, where the firm has practiced for more than 60
years.
Parab, who is the assistant water resources department
manager for the office, has been promoted to senior associate. He focuses on
resilience projects and has extensive water resources and construction
engineering experience in flood control and stormwater systems, hydrologic and
hydraulic modeling, water quality, water infrastructure, structure operations,
geographic information systems, and environmental permitting. Parab has
directed projects for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, and state and local governments.
Parab earned his master’s degree in civil engineering
from the University of Toledo (2003) and a bachelor’s degree in engineering
from Mumbai University (2001). He is a member of the American Academy of Water
Resources Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Association of State
Floodplain Managers, New York State Floodplain and Stormwater Managers
Association, and Society of American Military Engineers. Parab also earned a
certificate of Diplomate,
Water Resources Engineer (D.WRE).
