Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Amanda Pommerenck, PE, has joined the firm as an associate vice president and federal project manager based in its Huntsville, Alabama, office.
Pommerenck brings over 20 years of experience,
most recently working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntsville
Engineer and Support Center as an engineering division chief. Her background
includes project and program management, architect-engineer contracts,
specifications and criteria, control systems cyber security, operations and
maintenance technical support, cost engineering, and automated systems. In
her new role with Dewberry, Pommerenck will be responsible for managing,
leading, executing, and providing project management and technical support for
USACE and federal related projects.

experience coupled with her vast knowledge of USACE and federal government
programs will bring immense value to the firm,” says Dewberry Vice President

Pommerenck received her master’s degree in building
construction from Auburn University (2013) and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
from Vanderbilt University (1997). She is a United States Army veteran, member
of the Vanderbilt University Alumni Association Board, and a member of the
Society of American Military Engineers’ (SAME) Huntsville post.
