Dallas Fire Station No. 42 assists with aircraft emergencies at Dallas' Love Field Airport. Built in 1957, the existing facility was inadequate, leading to construction of a modern new station on the original site. The design complements the aesthetic of the neighboring industrial district and reduces energy consumption through high-performance design that includes increased building insulation and glazing performance. The station houses 15 firefighters with a watch room, dayroom, kitchen, dining area, fitness room, three dormitories, living quarters, office areas, and accommodations for the Battalion Chief.
