The LEED Gold certified library was featured in Cities Go Green magazine.

The result of a teen design charrette, the children’s area was designed around the four seasons and supports future community growth.

Facing south, design of the entrance lobby, which leads to community meeting rooms, uses the strong Arizona sun to create interesting patterns within this traditional space.

The library uses a complete self-service check-in/check-out system with RFID sorting.

Reflecting the need to be flexible and mobile, the teen area’s furniture and lighting can be easily relocated when the library expands into a space that is currently being used by the Parks Department.

The 47,000-square-foot, LEED^® Gold certified Queen Creek Library was planned as a gathering place for people of all ages and designed to reflect a "Four Seasons of Nature" theme. Highlights include an expansive children's center with seasonal backdrops, a colorful "teen oasis," meeting rooms, vending areas, and comfortable reading areas. The design-build project includes 18,000 square feet of shelf space for future build-out. We worked with Dick & Fritsche Design Group and Core Construction on the project, among the first in the nation to introduce a "Deweyless" system with a bookstore-type approach.
