Supporting NJDOT’s “Complete Streets” Initiative

To improve traffic flow, our design included left turn lanes at congested intersections, as well as enhanced pedestrian signals and signs at various intersections.

Based on information from our traffic studies and analyses, we designed the city’s infrastructure improvements to include new bicycle lanes, pedestrian overpasses, and ADA accessible ramps in order to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

To support the city’s urban revitalization, we provided ample parking and increased walking space to encourage shopping in the downtown area.

We reduced the roadway from four to three lanes, and included left turn lanes to significantly reduce the amount of rear-end and side-swipe accidents along the corridor.

To support the city of Woodbury's master plan for urban renewal within the downtown district, we provided design and construction engineering services along Route 45 to improve infrastructure and pedestrian safety. The project also supports NJDOT's "Complete Streets" initiative - a policy that requires future roadway improvement projects to include safe accommodations for all users, including drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and public transit users.
