We completed a regional stormwater management (SWM) study for the City of Manassas in 1999 which included design and phase one construction of a SWM facility at Winters Branch. In 2007 the city received a grant to construct phase two; we were brought in to design this phase, consisting of a sediment forebay to facilitate maintenance, and pond dredging and wetland plantings to improve water quality. The city now reports easier maintenance and greater acceptance of the facility by nearby residents.
