The 91,000-square-foot Tazewell County Justice Center in Illinois is a 196-bed direct supervision adult jail that also includes the county sheriff's administrative offices and a 12-bed juvenile detention area. We worked with Tazewell County and the City of Pekin, Illinois, to plan and design the center and the adjacent City Municipal building, resulting in a unified civic center and public safety complex linked by a public green. The 33,000-square-foot municipal building accommodates all police department and city hall functions. Both buildings are planned for future growth.
